Journalism

Since 2012, I have covered various topics across society, culture, health, technology, and the media industry, contributing to publications such as The Independenti-DVICERefinery29DazedHuck, and the International Journalists’ Network (IJNet).

Whether exploring the world of mental health zines, investigating obstetric violence, finding the best AI tools for freelancers, or understanding if urban living makes us lonelier, I want to contribute to a better representation and understanding of the complexity and diversity of our world by bringing forward stories, questions, and experiences that shape our daily lives.

I write in English and Italian, and my articles have been translated into multiple languages including French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese.

In 2016, I joined Pro Journo’s international reporting team at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Earlier, in 2014, I had been part of the Pro Journo “Women in the Media Industry” Fellowship, reporting on challenges and opportunities for women in journalism.

Beyond writing, I also worked as a video host for VICE Italy, and I have been a speaker, trainer, and moderator at national and international events, including the International Journalism Festival in Perugia (twice).

I hold a degree in Cultural Heritage (art history) from the University of Siena, Italy. Years later, in 2014, I earned an MA in Digital Journalism with Distinction from Goldsmiths, University of London. My final project on the role of apps in treating eating disorders was featured as an editor’s pick by The New York Times’ @NYTnow.

And yes, journalism was a late start for me, if it’s helpful to know.
